The Original, Since 1937

Designed in Manchester by the Miller brothers, the G9 Harrington Jacket was conceived as a lightweight outer layer, built for movement and shifting weather.

A year after its creation, it acquired one of its most distinctive elements. Brigadier Simon Fraser, 25th Chief of Clan Fraser of Lovat, granted Baracuta the use of the Fraser Tartan, an enduring pattern rooted in centuries of Scottish tradition.

Crafted from Baracuta Cloth and lined with the signature Fraser Tartan in breathable Coolmax® fabric, the jacket is defined by a series of considered details. The two-button collar offers protection at the neck, while the slanted front pockets, originally designed to hold two golf balls, reflect its sporting origins. Ribbed cuffs and hem provide structure and help keep out the wind. The last, but one of the most notable features, is the umbrella back yoke, which allows rain to fall away from the wearer.

Today, the G9 Harrington Jacket continues to hold its place within British outerwear, recognised for its continuity of design and construction. Not a reinterpretation. The original.
